Our Code of Conduct sets the foundation for fostering safe, fair, and respectful working environments while promoting sustainable and environmentally conscious practices.
DISCRIMINATION
- Kroozer strictly prohibits any form of discrimination in employment, including hiring, wages, benefits, promotions, or terminations, based on gender, caste, religion, age, disability, marital status, ethnicity, or political beliefs.
- All workers will be treated equally and with dignity, ensuring inclusivity and fairness at all levels of the organization.
COERCION
- Disciplinary actions, if required, will always comply with local laws.
- Workers must be treated with respect and dignity. Physical, verbal, sexual, or psychological abuse, harassment, intimidation, or threats of violence are strictly prohibited.
- Corporal punishment or coercive practices of any kind will not be tolerated.
FORCED LABOR
- Kroozer will not engage in or support any form of forced labor, including bonded labor, slavery, or human trafficking.
- Workers’ personal documents, such as identity papers, will not be withheld, and workers are free to resign after giving reasonable notice as per legal requirements.
- Recruitment fees or undue financial burdens on workers are strictly prohibited.
CHILD LABOR
- Workers under the age of 15 or the legal minimum working age (whichever is higher) will not be employed.
- Young workers (15-18 years) will not be assigned hazardous or unsafe tasks and will have access to educational and skill development opportunities.
- Reliable age verification processes and recruitment policies will be in place to prevent child labor.
WAGES & BENEFITS
- All workers will be paid at least the local legal minimum wage and provided statutory benefits, such as provident fund, insurance, maternity leave, and paid holidays.
- Overtime will be compensated as per local law, and wage deductions, if any, will strictly follow legal provisions.
- Workers will receive transparent and understandable wage statements detailing earnings, deductions, and overtime payments.
WORKING HOURS
- Working hours will comply with local laws, with a maximum of 60 hours per week, including overtime.
- Overtime will be strictly voluntary, and workers will have the right to refuse overtime without penalty.
- Workers will be entitled to at least one day off per week, and compensatory time-off will be provided if required to work on a weekly holiday.
- Special considerations, such as reasonable breaks, will be provided for nursing mothers and pregnant workers.
SAFETY
- Kroozer facilities will comply with all local health and safety regulations.
- Adequate lighting, ventilation, and fire safety measures, including emergency exits and fire extinguishers, will be maintained.
- Workers will receive free personal protective equipment (PPE) and training on safety protocols.
- Periodic fire drills and safety inspections will be conducted, and records will be maintained to ensure preparedness.
HEALTH & HYGIENE
- Safe drinking water and clean, segregated restroom facilities will be provided for all workers.
- First aid kits will be readily available, and workers will be trained in basic first aid.
- Hazardous materials will be stored securely in ventilated areas, and facilities will have emergency procedures for handling accidents or serious injuries.
HOUSING / DORMITORIES
- If housing is provided, it will comply with local laws and ensure safety, cleanliness, and adequate living conditions.
- Facilities will include potable water, proper ventilation, individual beds, clean restrooms, and basic first aid access.
FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION
- Workers have the right to form and join trade unions or associations of their choice without fear of retaliation.
- Where local laws restrict trade unions, Kroozer will facilitate an independent mechanism for workers to voice concerns and engage in collective bargaining.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
- Kroozer is committed to minimizing environmental impact and complying with all applicable environmental laws.
- Facilities will responsibly manage waste, maximize recycling, and ensure the safe disposal of hazardous materials.
- Efforts will be made to reduce resource consumption, and wastewater treatment plants will be maintained where necessary.
- Disaster-management plans will be in place to address environmental emergencies.
WOMEN, DISABLED, AND ETHNIC MINORITIES’ RIGHTS
- Kroozer ensures equal treatment and opportunities for women, differently-abled individuals, and ethnic minorities in all aspects of employment.
- Special considerations will be made for pregnant workers and nursing mothers to ensure their safety and well-being.
SUB-CONTRACTING
- Subcontracting will only be permitted with prior written approval and subject to strict compliance with this Code of Conduct.
- All subcontractors must adhere to Kroozer’s standards, and their facilities will be audited regularly to ensure compliance.
IMPLEMENTATION & MONITORING
- Training and Awareness: Regular training sessions will be conducted for employees and suppliers on labor standards, safety, and ethical practices.
- Auditing: Kroozer will conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with this Code of Conduct. Non-compliance may result in termination of business relationships.
- Grievance Mechanism: Workers will have access to confidential reporting channels for grievances without fear of retaliation.
